Ebbsfleet 2-2 Aldershot

Aldershot had to put the champagne back on ice as a resolute Ebbsfleet side ensured that the Shots will have to wait to be crowned Blue Square Premier champions.

George Purcell crossed for Luke Moore to score as Ebbsfleet took the lead after 14 minutes in a pulsating affair.

John Grant drew the visitors level with a thumping header before putting the champions-elect 2-1 up by nodding home Lewis Chalmers' cross.

The Shots thought they'd be celebrating promotion after the game, only for Chris McPhee to put a damper on proceedings by converting from Mark Ricketts' cross with a mere two minutes to go.

Ebbsfleet United bookings: Barrett, Opinel.

Aldershot bookings: Chalmers, Harding, Charles, Newman.

Attendance: 1,439.

Referee: I Scarr (West Midlands).
