Exeter City maintained their promotion push with a fairly comfortable win over struggling Altrincham at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon.
The home side opened their account after 25 minutes when Adam Stansfield linked up with Richard Logan and blasted his right-footed shot into the centre of goal.
The Grecians further extended their lead eight minutes later when Wayne Carlisle met a Matthew Gill cross at the right-hand side of the penalty area and placed his shot in the top-right corner.
The visitors rallied later on with veteran striker Colin Little getting himself on the scoresheet in injury time but it was not to enough as the home side held on for the win.
Exeter bookings: Seaborne 85, Elam 90.
Altrincham bookings: Shotton 20, Toulson 90.
Ref: B Malone.
