Gary Mills
Tamworth manager Gary Mills says he is keen to keep hold of his best players but admits it will be tough to match the financial clout of bigger clubs.
The Lambs boss is yet to sit down with chairman Bob Andrews to discuss his budget for the 2010/11 campaign and he is hoping for some positive feedback.
Tamworth assistant manager Darron Gee told the Birmingham Mail: "We know our players will be eyed up by other clubs because, one, they have had good seasons, and, two, we are not big payers.
"There will be tough negotiations. Players will always look for a bit more, like in all walks of life. All we can do is to offer the best deal we can and then it's down to the players.
"As much as they have been idolised on the terraces, if we can't keep them because we can't afford to, then we will shake hands and wish them well.
"But hopefully the majority will stay with us. We hope they have enjoyed this season, they've enjoyed working with the gaffer, and they have learned and improved."
