What's The Ground Like?

A traditional old looking ground that has been brightened up by replicating the team's blue & white stripes on the stands around the stadium. On one side is the colourful looking Main Stand, which is seated and covered. It has some supporting pillars along the front of the stand and runs for around half the length of the pitch. It is situated on the half way line and the areas to either side of the stand are unused. Opposite is a terrace that is covered towards the middle. One is a small open terrace, whereas the other end is not really used for spectators. In fact this area which houses the Club Offices tends to be detriment to the overall look of the ground. The stadium though does have a set of classic looking floodlights.

Where to Drink?

The Club has its own club house bar called the 'Crossbar'. Otherwise if you carry on along Wilkie Road then you will reach the 'Tally Ho' pub on your left.

Where to Eat?

The Tally Ho pub mentioned above also serves food. Alternatively, if you continue along the Walney Road (A590) towards the town centre, then you will reach a retail park that has a number of eating outlets including a McDonalds, plus on Walney Road is the 'Owl & The Pussycat' pub.

How to Get There by Car & Where to Park

M6 Junction 36, onto A590 signposted Barrow. Follow A590 all the way to the outskirts of Barrow, entering via industrial route towards the Town Centre. Passing the fire station on the right, take the next left into Wilkie Road. The ground is on the right hand side. Post code for Sat-Nav is LA14 5UW. Plenty of street parking is available.

Nearest Train Station

Barrow-in-Furness. On leaving the station, exit onto Holker Street. Turn right and ground is approximately 1/2 Mile on the left.

"Better off coming to the Socccer Bar. Good cheap ale and friendy people."

"Agree the Tally Ho is not one of our better places. The local station (which you can connect to directly from Lancaster) is less than 1/2 mile from the ground and on the same road (Holker Street). As you come out of the station there are a number of fairly decent pubs that do food opposite (Duke of Edinburgh, etc). The A590 is at junction 36 of the M6 not the M1 listed above."

"i wouldnt suggest going to the tally ho pub, unless you enjoy being verbally abused by a bunch of mindless idiots. Theres a weatherspoons next dor wich is a lot nicer."
