Torquay United manager Paul Buckle feels his squad will benefit from a short break away as a group, as part of the Gulls pre-season preparations.
Torquay United boss Paul Buckle believes by taking the players away from the normal rigours of pre-season training, it will provide a perfect opportunity for his new signings to bed in at the club.
Buckle intends to take his radically changed squad from last season away for a few days to allow the new faces at the club time to gel with the players that remain from last season's near misses in the FA Trophy and Blue Square Premier play-offs.
And speaking on the philosphy Buckle revealed: "We'll try and get a few things out of the week and staying away together for four days will be great. The players are getting to know each other off the field as well as on."
Torquay continue their pre-season schedule with a match against a Chelsea XI at Plainmoor this Saturday 26th July after beating Bideford Town 2-0 in the Errea Cup thanks to goals from new signings Mustapha Carayol and Tyrone Thompson.
