Promotion hopefuls Ebbsfleet had to come from behind to clinch a narrow 2-1 win over Crawley in an edgy encounter at the Broadfield Stadium.
The Red Devils were in front as early as the fourth minute when midfielder Jamie Cook fired past Lance Cronin into the bottom corner from six yards.
But the visitors restored parity 11 minutes later when Sasha Opinel played in John Akinde from the left and the striker made no mistake as he cooly slotted home the equaliser.
And Liam Diash's side went ahead just after the half-hour mark when Crawley defender Glenn Wilson put into his own net from a cross which gave the Fleet all three points on the night.
