AFC Wimbledon 3-0 Ebbsfleet

Terry Brown's AFC Wimbledon moved up to tenth place in the league standings with a comfortable victory over Ebbsfleet United at Kingsmeadow on Tuesday evening.

The Dons were frustrated by a dogged Ebbsfleet defence in the opening half-hour as goalkeeper Lance Cronin denied efforts from Lewis Taylor and Steven Gregory.

They finally got the breakthrough they were looking for in the 42nd minute when Luke Moore converted a Jay Conroy pass with a powerful effort from long range.

Ebbsfleet came close to drawing level in the 50th minute but Ricky Shakes blasted his shot over the bar when well placed inside the box.

And they were made to rue their missed chance as Danny Kedwell further extended the Wombles' lead in the 63rd minute.

Ricky Wellard capitalised on some slack Ebbsfleet defending and sprayed the ball out to the right, finding Kedwell, who volleyed into the bottom-left corner with a shot from inside the box.

The result was put beyond doubt in the 73rd minute as man-of-the-match Moore slotted home from the edge of the box against his former club.

AFC Wimbledon bookings: None.

Ebbsfleet bookings: Bailey, Smith.

Ref: N Kinseley (Essex).
