Oxford Utd v Ebbsfleet

Oxford United will be looking to extend their five-point lead at the top of the table when Ebbsfleet United make the trip to Kassam Stadium on Saturday.

On-loan left-back Steve Kinniburgh has returned to parent club Glasgow Rangers after a scan revealed he'll be out for six weeks with a knee injury.

U's boss Chris Wilder told Oxford Mail: "Damian Batt was back in training today, and Sam Deering, who was not right last week, is better again.

"We've also had some decent news about Matt Green. A lot was talked about his knee and rehabilitation, but Matt's worked fantastically hard to get back and he could start training this week, even with a chance of being available for us again the following weekend.

"He epitomises where the club is at - players don't sit in the treatment room having a cup of tea, reading the paper and chatting. It's a working environment - we want to get people back fit again as soon as possible."

Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish will be hoping for more of the same after steering his side to back-to-back victories in the Blue Square Premier.

Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "We'll drag ourselves out of it if we keep believing in ourselves.

"There's a bit of hope and belief coming back.

"It's going to be a hell of a tough ask on Saturday but we've given ourselves a little belief with the six points we've got in the last two games."
