Ebbslfeet extend Stavrinou loan

Blue Square Premier side Ebbslfeet United have extended the loan of Charlton youngster Alex Stavrinou until the end of the season.

The midfielder joined Liam Daish's side in December and has helped Ebbsfleet to four victories in the six games he has featured in.

Daish told the club's official website: "I am pleased that Stav has committed himself to us until the end of the season.

"He is up for the challenge and is looking forward to helping us out of our current situation.

"Stav has already established himself in his short while at the club and I am sure will go from strength to strength with this longer stay."

Stavrinou is happy to be staying on a Stonebridge Road and is hoping he can help Ebbslfeet lift themselves out of the relegation zone.

He said: "I am pleased to be committing myself to The Fleet until the end of the season.

"I have enjoyed my time here so far, the standard of football is good and I am pleased to have been able to play my part in the team's improvement over the past few weeks.

"I believe that we can continue to improve and hopefully begin a climb up the table and out of relegation trouble.

"Only time will tell but I think that if everyone continues to get behind the team then we can certainly maintain the club's National status."
