A small ground that does have a bit of character but seems to have a disproportionate amount of seating for its size. On one side is the small Main Stand that runs for about a third the length of the pitch. It is covered and seated and has a number of supporting pillars. There are spaces for standing spectators on either side of this stand and the team dugouts are also located on this side of the pitch. Opposite is a similar looking covered all seated stand, however this around twice the size in terms of length. One end is now a small seated area, then is open to the elements. Opposite is a small steep terrace, that has a small covered area at the back towards the middle. There is a noticeable slope to the pitch which runs down from this end to the other. The ground has a set of four modern floodlights.
Located outside the entrance to the ground is the Alfreton Town Supporters Club. However more popular is the bar inside the ground.
About a 10-15 minute walk away is a McDonalds outlet, back along the B600 Nottingham Road, up towards the junction with the A38. Otherwise if you turn left along the B600 a similar distance away is Alfreton Town Centre, where there are plenty of eating places to be found.
From M1: Turn off at junction 28 onto the A38 towards Derby. Follow for 2 miles then take the slip road onto the B600. Turn right at main road towards the town centre. After half-a-mile - immediately after Catholic Church on left, turn left into North Street. The ground is 150yds down on the right.
There is a small car park at the ground, otherwise there is plenty of street parking.
Postcode for SatNav purposes is DE55 7FZ
Alfreton station is located just over one mile away from the ground. It is served by trains from Nottingham & Chesterfield. Approx. walking time from station is 15 minutes.
Adults: £18 (age 16 upwards)
Concessions: £12 (senior citizens and children 15 and under who are non Junior Reds members)
Junior Reds members (up to and including 15 year olds) £3, provided they are accompanied through the turnstile by a paying adult.
