What's the ground like:

Regarded as one of the finest stadia in the lower divisions, the ground is all seated apart from the home Kop, its oldest structure, where 4,900 can stand. The away end is the Eric Roberts Builders Stand, seating up to 3,800 and offering a superb, close view of the pitch. The Mold Road Stand was built in 1999, an impressive facility with a bar and corporate boxes, and situated opposite the two-tier Yale Stand, traditionally the main stand and where you will find the club shop.

Where to drink?

Bar facilities are only available to home supporters at present but two pubs close to the ground are The Turf and the Plas Coch, with visiting supporters generally welcome in both; The Wrexham Lager Club is the first port of call for fans emerging from Wrexham General railway station; the thatched Horse and Jockey, deeper into the town centre, draws visiting supporters back on a regular basis with its selection of guest beers.

Where to eat?

Good bar meals can be had at Yales Café Bar, down a side street from the Horse and Jockey; the Fat Cat Café Bar, inside the Bus Station, is more upmarket and there are fast food outlets in the town centre.

How to get there by car and where to park:

From the north, leave the M6 at junction 21 and head towards Chester on the M56 Westbound. Circumnavigate Chester to the south via the M53 and A55, before turning left on to the A483, which you should exit at the Mold junction. Follow signs for the town centre and the ground will soon come into view. From the south, leave the M6 at junction 10a and take the M54 towards Shrewsbury. This eventually becomes the A5. Stay on this until Oswestry, where you can pick up the A483 to the left at the junction with the A541, signposted Wrexham and Mold. Turn right at the roundabout and the ground is ahead on the left. Parking can be found in one of the side roads near the Plas Coch retail park or at the railway station for a small charge.

Nearest train station and directions: Wrexham General Station is located next to the ground

Adults £18 and £17 (£16 and £14 if bought in advance) senior citizens/those aged 17-21 £12 (£10 in advance); under-16s £5. Family tickets: one adult and one child £21, one adult and two children £26

Local rivals: Chester City, Shrewsbury Town

Record attendance: 34,445 v Manchester United, FA Cup fourth round, January 26, 1957

Local places of interest:

The two National Trust properties, Erddigg Hall and Chirk Castle are nearby, while Wrexham Parish Church dates back to the 13th century, its impressive steeple renowned as one of the seven wonders of Wales. 'Brymbo Man' a skeleton discovered during work in the village of Brymbo, dates from around 1600BC and can be viewed in the centrally-located County Borough Museum.
