What's The Ground Like?

The stadium is primarily an athletics one which is council owned and run. The problem for spectators is that the playing area has an athletics track around it, meaning that fans are set well back from the pitch, which isn't that great for viewing or generating atmosphere at a football match. The stadium though does have an impressive looking Main Stand on one side. This stand has a large cantilevered roof, is all seated and has windshields to either side. Opposite is a covered terrace which sits astride the half way line. Both ends are small open terraces that are even more setback from the playing action. The stadium is shared with Welsh League Two side Llanwern F.C.

Where to Drink?

There is the 200 Club at the ground, which is not accessible from inside the stadium. It is a members only club, but guests can be admitted for a nominal fee.

Where to Eat?

Coming from the M4 to the stadium you will pass a Retail Park on the left which contains a KFC outlet.

How to Get There by Car & Where to Park

Leave the M4 at Junction 24 and take the A48 and the A455 towards Newport. Cross over five roundabouts and then take the next left turning and then left again into the large cap park which is free. The stadium is signposted around the area as the Newport International Sports Village.

Nearest Train Station

Newport station is situated around two and half miles away from the stadium. It is served by trains from London Paddington & Bristol Temple Meads.
