Weymouth swoop for winger Williams

Weymouth manager John Hollins has made his first summer signing with the capture of former Aldershot Town midfielder Ryan Williams.

The Mansfield-born player was recently released by league champions Aldershot Town and Hollins has wasted no time in offering Williams a contract.

Williams will link up with another former Shot, Nick Crittenden, who is also playing for the Terras.

Meanwhile, the club have revealed that they are on the lookout for a new sponsor after the recent takeover of Park Engineering.

Chairman Malcolm Curtis told the Dorset Echo: "The reason Park Engineering will not be our main sponsor next season is because the company has been sold to a US firm that has no interest in the club but Dave Higson will still be around as a strong supporter.

"At the moment we have not got a new main sponsor because we did not know what league we would be in until only last week but we are not going to be rushed either.

"We want to make sure we get it right and if that takes time then so be it."
