Crawley boss targets cup glory

Crawley Town manager Steve Evans is hoping to give the club's supporters something to cheer about by clinching victory in the Sussex Senior Cup final on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Red Devils take on Brighton and Hove Reserves in the final on Monday and Evans is hoping his team will be able to end the campaign with some silverware.

He told the Crawley Observer: "It will be a tough game for us.

"We've always sent teams out to win the match and hopefully we can end the season with some silverware.

"I want our supporters to witness us bringing back the cup to Crawley. It could be a classic."

He added: "We know Brighton will want to win and I think they will play as strong a team as they can.

"They have recognised League One players and it will be a good test for our young players."

The match will take place at Priory Lane, Eastbourne and kicks off at 3pm.
