Blue square Premier club Weymouth have decided to part ways with goalkeeper David Roberts after he made just one appearance for the club.

The former Liverpool youth team player was signed by former manager Jason Tindall in January but failed to force his way into the first team.

Roberts becomes the second Weymouth casualty this week folowing the release of Franklin Anzite.

"David Roberts has been released and there will be more comings and goings," Weymouth boss John Hollins told the Dorset Echo.

"As I have said before I want a squad of around eighteen quality players with a couple of boys in there that I have not seen yet.

"I want young legs around and I have got a couple in mind."
