Cambridge United manager Jimmy Quinn was full of praise for the club's supporters after watching his side book their place in the play-off final on Tuesday evening.
The U's edged out Nigel Clough's Burton Albion courtesy of a Rob Wolleaston brace and Quinn lauded the contribution of his players as well as the club's supporters.
"It's fantastic to be going to Wembley and I'm delighted for everyone connected with the club," Quinn told the club's official website.
"There's been a lot of hard work put into the planning and preparation, but all the acclaim should go the players because they're the ones who have to go out onto the field and do it.
"And the fans - how many times have I stood here and talked about the fans being that extra man? And they were tonight.
"Even when we conceded a goal they were right behind the team and they deserve to get promoted - I want to do it for them."
Quinn admitted that the Brewers looked the stronger side in the first half and added: "Burton were the better team in the first half.
"We got off to a great start but when they scored their equaliser I thought we lost a little bit of confidence and we got a little bit nervy and edgy.
"But that's the beauty of half-time. I said to the lads 'Burton have won the first half and now we've got to go out and win the second, we've got to raise the bar and give it an extra ten per cent'.
"It was a lucky second goal," he added. "We've talked about getting more crosses into the box and Rob hooked it in there and it went in. That gave us the basis to go on and we could have scored another couple of goals if it hadn't been for their goalkeeper.
"I was happy to be in the lead but it would have been nice to get the third because that would have killed the game, but he's an experienced keeper and he made some good saves."
