Nigel Clough
Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough is making preparations for the campaign ahead after his side missed out on the promotion play-off final.
The Brewers boss has revealed that four players will be allowed to leave the club after playing in the promotion play-off semi final recently.
Clough has not confirmed the names of the players in question but says he hopes to keep the majority of his squad intact for next season.
"Sometime in the next few days we'll get all the players together for a spot of lunch and start to plan for next season," Clough said.
"There are three or four who won't be with us, but we hope to keep the bulk of the side together.
"Similar to a year ago, the nice thing is that we don't see the need for drastic changes because we are happy with the majority of the players.
"But we cannot be sure that we won't end up with six, seven or eight new faces because some players might not accept what is on offer to them and choose to go elsewhere."
