The Shay stadium
Blue Square Premier side Halifax Town is expected to go into liquidation after administrators were unable to broker deal for the club's crippling debt.
The Shaymen owe over £800,000 to the Inland Revenue and need nothing short of a miracle to keep functioning as a football club.
Manager Chris wilder has been in charge since 2002 and believes that past regimes are to blame for the club's current financial plight.
"I think it goes back to when I was a player here," Wilder told the Halifax Courier.
"Since then things have not been right.
"I think we are all paying the price for a couple of seasons."
