Blue Square Premier side Oxford United have decided not offer new deals to midfielder Rob Davies and striker Michael Husbands.
Experienced striker Husbands was at the club on non-contract terms but has failed to impress manager Darren Patterson during his short stay.
Former Wrexham midfielder Davies is on a trial contract which expires at the end of August and won't be offered a full-time deal.
Patterson told his club's website: "They are both great lads and we hope they get themselves sorted out with clubs but they weren't quite what we were looking for here. We wish them well for the future."
Meanwhile, Patterson has received some welcome boost with news that midfielder Joe Burnell has stepped up his recovery following an ankle injury.
The 27-year old was out of action after sustaining the injury during United's only win of the season.
The ex-Northampton player returned to light training on Wednesday but the chances of him returning against Ebbsfleet on the weekend are rather slim.
