Mark Yates
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates is confident that he will be able to convince Lee Barker and Keith Lowe to sign long-term contacts at Aggborough.
Left-back Baker is currently on loan from West Bromwich Albion and Right-back Lowe is at the club after signing on a non-contract basis last week.
Both have impressed Yates so far this season and he is looking to secure their services to ensure a strong defence for the Harriers.
Yates told the club's official website: "We're hoping to have Keith on board- he can pass the ball, he can play forward with a bit of quality, but most of all he's a ruggered defender.
"Hopefully he'll be a good addition for us.
Yates was also full of praise for Baker, whose loan spell is due to end next week.
He continued: "I think Lee's been great.
"He'll make us play, but he's a decent defender, a good size and he can compete in the air.
"I've said to him that I think he's done well, but after about six or eight games we'll expect more from him.
"That's when I think he'll be stronger and sharper after recovering from his injury- he'll be miles better for having those games inside of him.
"I've spoken to the Director of football at West Bromwich Albion and we're trying to extend Lee's deal until January."
