Maamria strengthens with Grand
Northwich Victoria boss Dino Maamria has continued his desperate effort to patch up his leaky defence by turning to former England 'C' player Simon Grand.
The defender agreed to non-contract terms with the Vics on Thursday and will head straight into the squad for Saturday's clash against Torquay.
The 24-year year old starred in Carlisle United's Conference National winning side and had a brief spell at Grimsby Town before being released by Morecambe boss in June.
Grand made only five appearances for Morecambe which makes him eligible to sign for Vics as an unattached player.
