Oxford United defender Chris Carruthers reckons the way the U's have fought back during the last two games is evidence of the their recovery powers.
The Yellows revived themselves from with a ten-man squad to bag a draw against Ebbsfleet last Saturday.
Carruthers believes that Oxford have a new found confidence ahead of their clash against Kettering Town on Saturday.
"It's a big positive we've taken from this week," he told OxfordMail.
"The belief is there that if we go behind we can pull it back.
"You could see the other night, the work ethic and everything, and we managed to win an away game after going behind."
"That's important. Games like that can be as important as winning a game 3-0."
United boss Darren Patterson urged his team to not rest on their laurels and confessed that it will be tough to break through the Poppies defense.
"It will be really tough to break them down, but it's up to us to get the fans behind us and get the three points," Carruthers added.
