Osborne in line for U's return

Karleigh Osborne could return to Blue Square Premier club Oxford United just days after completing his loan spell at the Kassam Stadium.

The Brentford player was under Darren Patterson's charge for a month and Bees boss Andy Scott revealed he is willing to allow him to undergo another short tenure with the U's.

Scott told the Oxford Mail: "There were a lot of things going on (at Oxford), and they've changed their chairman in the last few days.

"There may be a possibility that we'll send him back there or if any interest comes from a decent non-league club.

"But in the meantime he'll come back into our squad."

Patterson, meanwhile, will be delighted to welcome back Osborne.

He said: "We were sorry Karleigh had to go back, and in football you never say never."
