Dragons secure Allen services

Blue Square Premier side Wrexham has secured the services of Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen on a one-month loan deal.

The 18-year-old, who has made one appearance this season, is now hoping to gain some valuable first-team experience under Dragons boss Dean Saunders at the Racecourse Ground.

"I'm looking forward to it," Allen told Swansea's official website.

"It will be good to get some more game time under my belt.

"I obviously know the manager (Dean Saunders) from the Welsh set up. He's got the same philosophy as the Gaffer (Roberto Martinez) in that he wants to play football the right way.

"He's got a good reputation in the game and has the utmost respect from the senior boys in the Welsh squad.

"He's also got a wealth of experience which hopefully I can tap into during my time at the Racecourse."
