Mark Beesley in action
With the return of talisman Mark Beesley, Cambridge United's recent goal scoring problems could be a thing of the past.
However, the goal poacher shoulders the blame for United's failure to comprehensively beat Lewes on Tuesday on his comeback from knee injury.
Gary Brabin's side left it late when Jon Challinor's last-gasp goal handed United a deserved 1-0 win.
However, the goal scoring could have started earlier on in the game, when Beesley had a straightforward close range chance that he failed to convert.
He told Cambridge News: "I really should have scored with that one. If I had, it would have been a different story.
"If we'd got the early goal, with no disrespect to teams like Lewes, it means they can't time-waste. Then we'd have been able to pick them off a little bit.
"We'd have got a bit more confidence throughout the team and won more comfortably.
Concerning his injury, Beesley said that, "Maybe it was better to wait a few more days. I've got a few little niggles and pains, but that's going to happen with this injury.
"A few more games and I'll be back to where I want to be."
The nearly fully fit striker believes the recent lack of goals is only a temporary issue and is confident that United have sufficient firepower to put that behind them.
