Bond keen to impress at Wrexham

Swansea City striker Chad Bond has admitted that he would relish the chance to join Blue Square Premier side Wrexham on a loan agreement.

The 21-year-old forward is currently training with Wrexham and is looking to impress new manager Dean Saunders with a view to earning a loan stay.

He featured for Wrexham in a practice match against Stockport County on Wednesday and has revealed that he would definitely like to extend his stay.

He told the Evening Leader: "I am just training at the moment.

"Dean Saunders does not know me as a player so he is taking a look at me and hopefully I will impress.

"I will be trying to do that, maybe with a view to coming in on loan.

"I would do that, Wrexham is a great club. The lads have welcomed me and I have enjoyed it here.

"I am looking for first team football but there is a big squad here with everyone fighting for a place so it won't be easy.

"We will have to see how it goes, but I would be willing to come on loan if there is the option."
