Peter Jackson
Lincoln manager Peter Jackson described their FA Cup first-round replay defeat by Kettering as "the worst since I have been here".
Iyseden Christie netted the winner after Craig Westcarr had cancelled out Lenny John-Lewis' opener as the Blue Square Premier side caused a major upset.
Jackson said: "It was a very bad night for the players, for me and for the fans. The fans did not deserve what they got.
"Full marks to Kettering, they deserved to go through to the next round and I wish them good luck in the cup.
"The players should be embarrassed."
Christie was delighted to score the winning goal and felt his side deserved to go through to the next round.
He told the Northants ET: "It's always good to score the winner but we deserved to go through because, over the two games, we were the better side.
"Once they had gone in front, we just kicked on and we scored a great goal and in the end we got what we deserved.
"You are always ecstatic when you score a late goal and it's not the first time I have done that but I am just pleased that we have got the result. It's great to be part of it."
The striker also had words of praise for Kettering's supporters, adding: "Our fans were excellent and they have been great to me since I have been here.
"It may not be the longest journey but they still have to pay to get here, pay to get and watch us and it is a real pleasure to play for them to be honest."
