Eastbourne hunt for new striker

Eastbourne Borough will be stepping up their search for a new striker after Allan Tait was put on the transfer list.

Tait is said to have fallen out with Borough manager Garry Wilson after the player reportedly disagreed with Wilson and club management over how the team was being run.

"We had a bit of a disagreement and the fact remains that we only want players who are 100 per cent committed to this club," Wilson told the Eastbourne Herald.

"We are actively seeking to bring in another striker or even two within the next week or so."

An out of form Tait was recently given stick by the Priory Lane faithful after another disappointing performance, to which he replied "it's like water off a duck's back."
