Billy McEwan
Blue Square Premier outfit Mansfield Town will have to soldier on without Maxime Chanot after the defender was handed a four-game suspension.
The 19-year-old, who is currently on loan from Championship club Sheffield United, was shown a straight red card for headbutting Adam Bygrave during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Weymouth.
Stags manager Billy McEwan, who is furious with the Frenchman, told the club's official website: "Max will be fined for his actions.
"It was a stupid thing to do.
"He had to go I'm afraid but had he stayed on the field, we may well have gone on to win the game."
The ban means that McEwan will be without the former Stade de Reims starlet for a crucial period of the season and leaves him short of options in defence.
