Budd and Tait set to leave Borough

Allan Tait and Darren Budd have been given the go-ahead by Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson to leave the club as they have been deemed surplus to requirements.

Both formed no part of the squad that travelled to Burton Albion on Saturday and are unlikely to form part of Wilson's future plans after the arrival of Ashley Barnes, Jeff Goulding and Dan Smith on loan.

The duo have attracted interest from a number of clubs including Farnborough, Braintree and Burgess Hill, but are only permitted to join clubs from the Ryman League or below as the loan transfer window has closed for teams in the Blue Square Premier.

Boss Garry Wilson told the Argus: "We've got enough options up front now and Allan needs to go out on loan and play some games.

"We've had a few clubs ask about him so I expect something will be sorted out fairly soon.

"Darren also needs to get some matches under his belt so it is a case of putting the word out that he is available and seeing who comes in."
