Tsiaklis aiming to improve

On-loan midfielder Angelos Tsiaklis says he can still improve after making his debut in the weekend's 2-0 win over Lewes.

The Cyprus-born player joined Wrexham on a month's loan at the end of last week and was thrust straight into the action.

"It's my first experience of going out on loan, so I didn't really know what to expect," Tsiaklis told the Daily Post.

"But our reserve-team manager Glyn Hodges explained it would be valuable for me to have the chance to train with and play alongside first-team footballers and said Wrexham was the right place to be.

"I was quite pleased with the way it went on Saturday, but I know I can do better and hopefully I will be able to show that in the coming weeks.

"It takes time to build an understanding with new players and although it's always good to win a game, I am sure there is more to come from the team.

"I'm here to learn, to enjoy my football and everyone has made me feel very welcome, so I hope I can repay the manager's faith in me and help Wrexham to maintain their recent run of league results."

Tsiaklis formed part of City's FA Youth Cup winning side last season and has been handed the number 33 shirt for his stay at Wrexham.
