Lambs snap up hitman Murdock

Blue Square Premier outfit Tamworth have snapped up the services of striker Jerome Murdock from UniBond League Division One South Shepshed Dynamo.

The 24-year-old earned a deal after impressing Lambs boss Gary Mills following a training session at the Lamb Ground on Thursday.

Mills told the Tamworth Herald: "He is someone we would like to work with and feel that he could be a good player."

The hitman will go straight into the squad for the Blue Square League fixture against Eastbourne Borough on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Turkish forward Gokhan Ulker has been released by the Lambs.
