Tommy Wright
Luton Town manager Gary Brabin has confirmed that striker Tommy Wright has been released following the expiry of his contract.
The 27-year-old joined the Hatters on a three-month deal in October after a short-term spell at Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Kidderminster Harriers.
Wright made the perfect start to his Luton career by bagging a goal on his debut against Grimsby but went on to make just one more appearance, scoring two more goals.
Explaining Wright's departure, Brabin told Bedford Today: "Tommy has now left the club, his contract was up and it's through no fault of his own.
"He had a short-term contract to try and show us what he's capable of.
"We've certainly seen what he is capable of, he's an honest lad and he's scored three goals in his two starts.
"He did himself no harm, but like I said to Tommy, we couldn't afford to get him fit, we needed him here and now."
