Bull: Home form is puzzling

Stafford manager Steve Bull has admitted that his side's latest run of consecutive home defeats has left him baffled and frustrated.

To that end, Bull will be holding a special team meeting with his players this week in a bid to seek a positive solution to the problem.

Bull told the Express & Star: "Saturday was very disappointing and I just can't put my finger on it. Our home form is really starting to do my head in, to be fair.

"We shall be having a team meeting this week, to hopefully get to the bottom of it.

"I spoke to the players after the game and said to them: 'Is it the system that is the problem, playing 4-5-1, and they told me that was not the case, that they felt that formation was right for the team.

"Playing 4-5-1 away from home has actually worked wonders for us this season, so I just can't understand why it is not working at Marston Road.

"Maybe it is time to throw caution to the wind at home."

Bull also revealed that he is still on the lookout for a new striker and confirmed that Bristol City striker Mark Magee will join Stafford for a month's loan.

He added: "Mark's move has not gone through yet. To be honest, I don't know if he is the answer yet. For me, we may need someone who is a bit bigger and stronger.

"He are still going to take him for a month though.

"Like I have said before though, he will get his chance here. It is up to him to take it.

"The striker search continues and will not stop until we have found what we are looking for."
