League Two outfit Morecambe have confirmed the signing of striker Jack Redshaw from Altrincham for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on an 18-month contract with the Shrimps after impressing on trial last week.
The former Manchester City forward is highly regarded by Shrimps boss Jim Bentley, who believes the youngster will develop into great player.
Bentley told Morecambe's official website: "Jack is a player with great potential.
"He may only be small but he is strong and quick and has a real eye for goal. He has a good attitude and I am really looking forward to working with him.
"He is definitely one for the future and a lot of clubs were interested in signing him so I am delighted that he has chosen us.
"Altrincham FC and their manager Lee Sinnott have been very understanding and have been keen to help Jack progress his career."
