Fleetwood eyes goalscorer prize

The race for the top goalscorer prize in the Blue Square Premier is hotting up with Forest Green striker Stuart Fleetwood the favourite to land the accolade.

Fleetwood recently rejected a move to League One outfit Crewe Alexandra and committed himself to the club.

The Wales Under-21 international has been in prolific form for Rovers this season scoring 30 goals in 33 games.

Of those 30 goals, Fleetwood has netted 21 in the Blue Square Premier and he is 8/15 to finish top goalscorer.

Rushden and Diamonds striker Simeon Jackson made a deadline day move to League One side Gillingham so is now out of the running for the top scorer prize in the Blue Square Premier. Jackson had netted 16 goals for Diamonds this season. But he is still in the betting because he could still land each way spoils.

The joint-second favourite is Cambridge United striker Scott Rendell (16 goals), who is 7/1.

Stevenage's Steve Morison (15 goals) is 9/1 with Aldershot's John Grant (15 goals) 10/1. Torquay striker Tim Sills (14 goals) is 12/1 followed by Burton striker Daryl Clare (11 goals) and fellow Albion striker Shaun Harrad (12 goals) at 25/1.

Exeter forward Richard Logan (12 goals) is 28/1, as is Torquay's Chris Zebroski (12 goals). Kidderminster striker James Constrable (11 goals) is 33/1 followed by Cambridge United's Mark Beesley (10 goals - Beesley moved from Forest Green to Cambridge earlier this week), who is 40/1. Torquay's Lee Phillips is 50/1 and York's Onome Sodje 66/1.

Each way bets pay a fifth of the odds for the top three goalscorers. For example, if Daryl Clare (25/1) finished in the top three, you win at 5/1.
