Back Burton For Victory

Thursday February 12, 2009

Ebbsfleet United v Burton Albion (19.45, Live on Setanta 1)

Prices correct at time of writing (4.10pm, Wednesday February 11, 2009).

Home 13/5 Draw 23/10 Away evens

Burton have won 15 and drawn one of their last 16 games since losing at Oxford in October. They can open up a 22-point lead at the top of the Blue Square Premier Table with victory against Ebbsfleet.

Roy McFarland has taken over as manager of the Brewers from new Derby boss Nigel Clough and has kept the momentum at the club going. Ebbsfleet are looking over their shoulders at the drop zone, with only a five-point gap to the bottom four, and they will need to find some form if they are to avoid a tricky end to the season.

Burton look hot favourites to claim victory on Thursday and I think they are well worth backing.

Verdict: Home win

Best Bet: Burton evens
