Back Borough To Progress

Saturday February 18, 2009

AFC Telford United v Southport

Prices correct at time of writing (5.30pm, Wednesday February 18, 2009).

Home 13/10 Draw 23/10 Away 13/8

Both these sides are flying high in the Blue Square North and I think a replay is beckoning after Saturday's clash at New Bucks Head. This will be a very entertaining match but it is very hard to predict who will move through to the last four and one step closer to the FA Trophy final at Wembley.

Verdict: Draw

Stevenage Borough v Forest Green Rovers

Home 1/2 Draw 13/5 Away 5/1

I'd be very surprised if Stevenage don't win this match. They are in the Blue Square Premier play-off places and have enjoyed a much superior season to Forest Green, who find themselves in big trouble at the wrong end of the table. Everything points to a home victory.

Verdict: Home win

Wrexham v Ebbsfleet United

Home 8/13 Draw 12/5 Away 4/1

Wrexham will be looking to reach the last four and use that as a boost to help their play-off push. Ebbsfleet are the reigning FA Trophy holders but I expert their grip on the trophy to end on Saturday as they find Dean Saunders' outfit a troublesome proposition.

Verdict: Home win

York City v Havant & Waterlooville

Home 8/13 Draw 12/5 Away 4/1

We all remember Havant & Waterlooville tremendous run in the FA Cup last season, when they beat Swansea and tested Liverpool at Anfield. York, however, look the team to back on Saturday as they target a final spot at Wembley to help them forget their troubles in the league.

Verdict: Home win
