Cambridge set for Cards victory

Monday March 30, 2009

Woking v Cambridge United (19.45, Live on Setanta 1)

Prices correct at time of writing (2pm, Wednesday March 25, 2009).

Home 7/2 Draw 12/5 Away 8/11

Third-from-bottom Woking take on Cambridge - second going into the weekend - on Monday night. Woking are two points from safety, while Cambridge are eight points behind leaders Burton ahead of the weekend fixtures. This promises to be a classic match and I'm going to take Cambridge to win because they are on a great run at the moment. Last season the U's reached the play-off final and they would love to be there again, although they'd like a different result and I think they've got every chance.

Cambridge are going to put the pressure on Burton right to the wire, any slip-ups from Albion and the U's will be there to pounce. Realistically though it's the play-offs for Cambridge and they are already thinking of that in their strategy but they've got to still believe that Burton can slip up. This is not an easy game against Woking, who themselves need a result. This is a big test for the Cards but it's Cambridge to win for me in this live Setanta clash.

Verdict: Away win

Best Bet: Half-time / Full-time Draw / Cambridge 10/3
