Stevenage Borough take on Cambridge United

Boro and U's set for stalemate

Thursday April 30, 2009

Stevenage Borough v Cambridge United (19.45, Live on Setanta 1)

Prices correct at time of writing (1pm, Wednesday April 29, 2009).

Home 5/4 Draw 11/5 Away 2/1

It's fifth-placed Stevenage against second-placed Cambridge United on Thursday night. It was 1-1 between these two sides in their last match of 2008, while Stevenage beat Cambridge 2-1 in early April. There's no doubt the biggest price is the draw. One thing is for sure, I don't think this tie will be decided by what happens at Stevenage in the first leg. It looks all set to go down to the second leg at the Abbey Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday. That will be a second full house for the U's in consecutive weeks after a capacity crowd at United's home clash against Altrincham. I think this first leg will be very tight and the draw is worth a decent wager. I fancy Cambridge to come through and reach the play-off final for the second successive year and hopefully for them they can go one better than last season when they lost the play-off final to Exeter City.

Verdict: Draw

Best Bet: Half-time / Full-time - Draw / Draw 4/1
