Torquay Utd v York City

Torquay United prepare for the visit of York City to Plainmoor on Saturday with the knowledge that one point will secure their play-off berth.

The Gulls are again set to be without their ex-Plymouth Argyle central midfielder Steve Adams (thigh), while winger Tony Bedeau (hamstring) is also a doubt.

Matt Hockley and Roscoe D'Sane are both expected to continue, but defender Steve Woods (broken toe) and winger Danny Stevens (knee) are definitely out.

York trio Tom Evans, Darren Craddock and Simon Rusk return from suspension and are available for selection.

But manager Colin Walker may instead decide to hand another chance to recent first-time starters Andy McWilliams and Jimmy Beadle, while keeper Josh Mimms could also be offered a further opportunity to impress.

Striker Craig Farrell is the latest name to be effectively ruled out for the rest of the current campaign.

Farrell has recently been sidelined by a bruised foot, while also struggling for most of the season with a long-standing thigh problem, prompting Walker to state that any offer of a new contract would need to see the Middlesbrough-born forward returning fully fit.

Midfielder Stuart Elliott will serve the second of a two-match ban as the visitors attempt to arrest a run of five defeats in their last six games.
