Exeter v Torquay

Exeter City play host to Torquay United at St James's Park on Thursday night for the first leg of the Blue Square Premier play-off semi-final.

Grecians boss Paul Tisdale has the luxury of an almost fully-fit squad to choose from for Thursday's crunch clash.

His only concern is over Steve Basham, who is struggling to shake off a niggling calf injury.

Tisdale has called on his side to stay focused on the task at hand and not to get carried away by the play-off excitement.

He told Echo Sport: "It will be exciting for everyone but we have to make sure we keep a lid on that excitement.

"A lot of calm heads will be needed out there and that is when experienced players like myself, Rob Edwards and Gilly (Matt Gill) will be important.

"We are there just to calm things down if it is needed. It is going to be a great atmosphere and the ones who don't panic on the day will do well.

"You have to go out there and play your football and hopefully we can get through. These are the games that you relish."

Torquay manager Paul Buckle will have to reshuffle his pack for the trip to Exeter on Thursday.

Chris Hargreaves and fellow midfielder Steve Adams are likely to be placed straight back into the starting eleven.

Striker Roscoe D'Sane is nursing a shoulder injury and will miss out along with Lee Mansell (groin).

Steve Adams is struggling with a thigh complaint and faces a late fitness test.

Torquay coach Shaun North spoke to his side's official website ahead of the game and said: "We are as confident as you can be, we have been confident all year in every game that we have played.

"We always go in with the view of trying to win the game and Thursday night will be no different.

"At the beginning of the season we sat down and the aim was to try and get promoted or at the very least win as many league and cup games as we could and see where that took us and now we are down to the last two or three weeks of the season and we are in a cup final and we are still in with a chance of promotion."
