Torquay v Burton Albion

Torquay United head into the final game of the season with the knowledge that a victory over league-leaders Burton Albion will seal their place in the play-offs.

Torquay will have one eye on Kidderminster's result against Kettering, as defeat for Mark Yates' side would spare the Gulls having to collect the maximum three points.

Manager Paul Buckle will have to make do without the services of goalkeeper Scott Bevan, who is on the treatment table with a calf injury.

Michael Poke is set to deputise in his absence, while third-choice, Martin Rice, is also available after returning from his loan spell at Truro City.

Defender Lee Mansell returns to contention after completing a one-match suspension.

Buckle told the Herald Express: "We've lost one game in 15, and we've been guilty of drawing our last three, all away from home.

"The bottom line is that we have to keep doing what we've been doing, and maybe tweak one or two things to make them better."

Burton Albion boss Roy McFarland will be missing striker Shaun Harrad due to a suspension.

Experienced goakeeper Kevin Poole remains on the treatment table with a back injury, so McFarland could be tempted to field an unchanged starting line-up.

The Brewers need just one point from Sunday's clash to clinch automatic promotion to the Football League.

McFarland said: "The whole thing is tweaked for me by the fact that Cambridge and Torquay are involved.

"I enjoyed my time at both clubs, even though the second one didn't last as long as I had hoped.

"The last thing we want to be is in a fearful frame of mind at Torquay. We have to meet the challenge head-on."
