Kidderminster v Kettering

Kidderminster must win their final game of the season against Kettering Town at Aggborough on Sunday and hope that other results go their way if they are to secure a play-off place.

A 3-1 defeat at Stevenage Borough on Tuesday night ended the Harriers 14-game unbeaten run to leave them in sixth place and one point outside the top five.

Mark Yates' side will now be hoping that Torquay drop points at home to title-chasing Burton Albion or that Mansfield Town take points off Stevenage.

Yates has a full squad to choose from and faces a selection poser in attack with Darryl Knights, Brian Smikle and Mark Creighton all available.

The manager told the club's official web site:"It's out of our hands now which is disappointing but all we can do now is win our game and see where it takes us.

"All we have to do is make sure that if teams do slip up, we're there to take advantage of that."

Kettering have nothing but pride to play for after recently slipping out of contention for the play-offs but manager Mark Cooper will be looking to end the campaign on a high by beating Kidderminster.

He told the Northants ET: "I wish we were going there still in with a chance. But we will go and sample the occasion and look to win the game.

"Mark (Yates) knows there will be no favours from us and we will play our normal game and see if we can finish the season with a win.

"It's a huge game for them and it would be hard to watch their celebrations if they were to achieve their target.

"But, at the same time, it might not hurt some of our squad who will be here next season to see that as it will light a fire inside them for the next campaign."

The Poppies made it to Round Four of the FA Cup after winning promotion from the Blue Square North last term.

Midfielder Darren Wrack will play no part in the match after picking up a hamstring strain with Brett Solkhon also sidelined, but with an ankle injury. Defender John Dempster will undergo late fitness tests before he is cleared to play.
