Steve Fallon believes there is no better time to record Histon's first win over Torquay than in Monday night's play-off semi-final, second leg.

The Stutes will have to overhaul a two-goal deficit if they aim to make the trip to Wembley and the manager is hoping the supporters get behind his side at the Glass World Stadium as they look to pull off a sensational comeback.

He told Cambridge News Online: "The fans have got to get behind us," he said. "We need a sell-out, we need a full house.

"Hopefully we can get that first goal and if we can do that then it's game on."

The Stutes have a dismal record against Torquay as they have never managed to collect maximum points from the Gulls.

"There aren't many sides we haven't beaten at some point, so maybe this is our day," Fallon added.

"This is what we wanted the second leg at home for - a big crowd, lots of people there and the chance to do it on our own patch. We know it's going to be an uphill battle but we've got nothing to lose."

The tactician pointed to United's play-off heartache last season - when they threw away a two-goal lead - in an attempt to motivate his charges.

"We know what we've got to do. They were in this position last year and blew it and maybe this year they'll do it again," he said.

"It's not over. They know that and I'm sure they won't underestimate us, but you never know.

"We're looking forward to it."

Danny Wright will not feature for the Stutes due to a hamstring injury, but Josh Simpson could play a part after overcoming an ankle knock.

First-choice goalkeeper Danny Naisbitt will return to the starting line-up after serving his one-match ban.

Meanwhile, Gulls manager Paul Buckle is expecting a wave of attacks from the home team to test his defenders.

"Histon put the ball in your box a lot, and you have to be able to cope with it," he told This Is South Devon.

"We will have to do that, but then try and get the ball on the floor and play our football - that's important.

"We are going there with a strong mentality. We know the ball is going to come into our penalty area, but we have to go and try to win the match."

Buckle has been given a major boost as 13-goal Elliot Benyon has recovered from a bout of flu. Michael Poke continues between the sticks as Scott Bevan nurses a calf strain with the hopes of featuring in the final - if the Gulls are able to make the trip to Wembley on May 17.
