Holker Street

Barrow v Cambridge

Barrow AFC will be looking to open a gap on the dreaded drop zone when Martin Ling's Cambridge United make the trip to Holker Street on Saturday afternoon.

The Bluebirds could be tempted to hand a debut to midfielder James Owen after he joined the club from Chester City this week.

Striker Nick Chadwick returns to contention after being ineligible for the 2-1 FA Trophy victory over York City in midweek.

Cambridge will hand a debut to winger Scott Neilson after he joined the club on a month's loan from Bradford City.

Robbie Willmott misses out through injury, while Antonio Murray will have to watch from the sidelines after picking up a suspension.

Defender Dave Partridge is rated doubtful with a thigh problem, while Ling could miss the match because of illness.

Looking ahead to the clash, assistant manager Paul Carden told the club's official website: "It (Barrow) is always a horrible place to go and never an easy fixture.

"Not just because of the journey right up north, but because of the ground, the pitch - everything about it.

"We'll be going about things in the right way, as we always do, and hopefully the good preparation, along with the positive performance against Oxford from Tuesday night, can stand us in good stead."
