Tamworth v Rushden

Tamworth manager Gary Mills hopes a bigger crowd comes to watch his charges take on Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday afternoon.

The Lamb Ground has not seen the biggest crowds this season and Mills is calling on the supporters to come out in numbers this weekend.

"This is a great set of lads and I just wish a few more people would come and watch them," Mills told the club's official website.

"I know people want to win every week but I just wish people would have the realism of how tough it is for us in this division.

"We have to get on with it but to get 480 is disappointing.

"We need the support - that 12th man on the terraces - to help us to survive in the elite of non-league football, there's no two ways about that.

"If people are staying away because we have lost a few games recently, that's sad. We need people to come and back us.

"Saturday is a big game for us against Rushden but one we are looking forward to.

"They are on a high and it will be a tough challenge for us but the win over Gateshead is a nice way to go into that on Saturday."

On the team news front, Mills will have Jake Sheridan available for selection following an injury, while Jay Smith is also back in contention.

Nick Wright is the only absentee as he continues to struggle with a foot problem.

Rushden will have to wait on the fitness of Rob Wolleaston, who has a hamstring problem.

The midfielder is Justin Edinburgh's only problem and he has an otherwise fully-fit squad from which to choose.
