Monday's Blue Square South Wrap

It was not the best of Easter Mondays for the top three in the Blue Square South, but Welling had five reasons to celebrate.

Leaders AFC Wimbledon dropped points in a 2-2 draw away to Bromley.

The Dons seemed to be on their way to a comfortable victory as early as the second minute as Elliott Godfrey put them ahead.

After the break though, Ryan Hall made the difference as he levelled matters in the 56th minute.

He would then cancel out Rocky Baptiste's 88th minute effort on the stroke of half-time to leave the visitors frustrated.

AFC Wimbledon are still three points clear at the summit as Hampton & Richmond were held to a goalless draw at play-off rivals Hayes & Yeading.

Bognor Regis Town secured a precious 1-0 win over third-placed Eastleigh, but still look on course to get the dreaded drop.

Danny Smith's goal in the 56th minute was enough to earn the Rocks maximum points.

Meanwhile, Welling hammered five away goals past a toothless and rock-bottom Fisher Athletic side.

Graeme Andrews got the ball rolling for the visitors in just the tenth minute with Ryan Johnson doubling their advantage two minutes later.

The early show was an indication of things to come as Lee Protheroe (47), Sam Hurrell (62) and Charlie Sheringham (75) all got on the scoresheet as the Wings crushed the hosts.

Chelmsford held onto the coveted fifth and final play-off spot after late fightback at Braintree Town.

Danny Hockton broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute and it looked like the Iron would pick up maximum points.

But a late show from the Clarets proved otherwise. James Lawson made it 1-1 after 86 minutes and with the next attacking movement, Oliver Berquez ensured the visitors would pick up the three points and break Town hearts.
