The Beavers opened the scoring in the 29th minute thanks to midfielder Karl Beckford but Braintree striker Michael Power levelled the scoreline when he found the back of the net in the 77th minute.

Bromley kept their play-off dreams alive with a comfortable victory over fellow play-off hopefuls b>Eastleigh at the Courage Stadium.

Warren McBean opened Bromley's account in the 63rd minute followed by goals from Ashley Carew (pen 79) and Marcus Cassius (85).

Dover Athletic dropped down to fifth place in the Blue Square South standings after being edged out by Chelmsford City at Perry's Crabble Stadium.

Forward Rob Edmans found the back of the net in the 48th minute and the Clarets held on to claim all the points.

Newport County are still looking strong at the top of the pile after knocking three goals past Dorchester Town at Newport Stadium.

Striker Craig Reid opened Newport's account in the 57th minute and bagged his second of the game with a 64th minute effort.

Defender Gary Warren rounded off another impressive team performance with Newport's third goal in the 84th minute.

Staines Town twice rallied from behind to earn a share of the spoils with Bishop's Stortford at Wheatsheaf Park.

The Bishop's drew first blood when Louis Riddle found the back of the net in the 18th minute and the hosts were back on even terms thanks to Richard Butler's 53rd minute effort.

The visitors reclaimed the lead through Bertie Brayley in the 59th minute but it was Staines who had the last say when Ali Chaaban netted an 81st minute equaliser.
