Saturday's Blue Square South Wrap

Newport County continued their dominance over the Blue Square South with yet another resounding victory on Saturday.

The Exiles notched up a resounding 3-1 victory over bottom-placed Weymouth at the Wessex Stadium.

Kerry Morgan opened the scoring for the visitors in the first-half, before Josh Llewellyn cancelled out his effort with fifteen minutes to play.

However, the home side's joy was short-lived as Danny Rose put Newport back infront a minute later before Sam Foley wrapped up the three points.

Second-placed Chelmsford also continued their winning ways as they notched up a 2-0 win over Bishop's Stortford at Woodside Park.

Matthew Lock gave the Clarets the lead as early as the 13th minute before Ricky Holmes doubled his side's advantage five minutes before the break, which proved to be enough to secure the victory.

A Darren Edward strike saw Bath City remain within three points of the Clarets after they beat Thurrock 1-0 at Twerton Park.

Edwards' neat finish in the 38th minute proved to be enough for the Romans against a determined Thurrock outfit, who now drop to seventh place in the standings just outside the play-off zone.

Eastleigh failed to move above Staines Town following their 1-0 loss to play-off chasing St Albans at Silverlake Stadium.

Drew Roberts goal in the twelfth minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.

At the other end of the table Weston-S-Mare picked up a much-needed victory as they overcame Maidenhead United 1-0 at Woodspring Stadium.

Danny Burnell netted from the spot as early as the ninth minute and the Seagulls managed to hold on to claim all three points.
